Delos

Delos is a dope screamo band from Bremen, Germany. People who play in this band were also involved with Louise Cyphre, Gentle Art of Chokin', and Warcoma. They sent me an email a while back and after a few back and forths I ended up with a physical copy of their self titled EP. Shit rules so hard. The band is very driving and aggressive and features two vocalists. I was super impressed with this bands first release, even though the associated acts are really good so I don't know why I would expect anything other than awesome. Regardless, shit is fucking cool. Obviously if you like euro-screams you will dig this band. Their first release was put out on React With Protest, and I believe their upcoming split with Yusuke will also be on said label. All of their stuff is available for free download via bandcamp and I suggest you check this band out right the fuck now, you wont be disappointed. I promise. Word.

Tristan Tzara Unreleased Tracks

Tristan Tzara has been one of my favorite bands since I got into screamo. They, along with Louise Cyphre, were the first chaotic scream bands that I listened to and was like "holy fuck, this band". Seeing as they have been broken up since before I lost my virginity and are from Germany it was always difficult for me to get their physical stuff, but luckily I met one of the dudes on the internet through his label, Monotonstudio Records, and was thus able to theoretically buy Tristan Tzara merch. I've been chronically broke for a hot minute, but now that Uncle Rob has a job he can buy records and stuff again, so today I ended up buying Da Ne Zaboravis and the shirt with that design on it so I could get access to the two unreleased tracks. The songs, which fucking slay, are from 2000 and are streaming on bandcamp.

Republic of Dreams

Republic of Dreams is three guys who were in Louise Cyphre, Resurrectionists, and The Apoplexy Twist Orchestra. Do I really need to say anything else? They did a U.S tour earlier in the summer with Cloud Rat, but you hate yourself if you missed it. I do. They put out an LP, which is the songs from both the Beau Navire and Cloud Rat splits. Below is their LP and the Cloud Rat split, because Cloud Rat fucking slays. Check it out and support these dudes. One of the homies runs React With Protest, so give him money. He actually deserves it. Word.

This split has already made its rounds through the blogs, seeing as it has been out on the internet for a minute now. I picked this joint up a while ago when I blog raided. I admit I don't really surf that many sites regularly, but every once in a while I'll just binge download a shitload of stuff from the same like ten blogs.

I have posted a few times about Beau Navire, so I don't really feel the need to describe them again. If you don't know who they are you can look at the older posts about them, but I don't really think that is nesecarry. They are real good. This other band, Republic of Dreams, surprised the shit out of me. Chaotic screamo with members of Resurrectionists, Apoplexy Twist Orchestra, and Louise Cyphre. Super impressed with their material. This split is one of the better releases I have heard thus far in the year, and one reason why is because both bands compliment each other beautifully. Moment of Collapse put out this record, so you can pick it up here along with tons of other distros. Download it below and please buy it so you can support these bands. Beau Navire is going on tour with We Were Skeletons this summer and the dates are right here.

On a side note, with all this weird shit with mediafire and the government and downloading we will do our best to continue Chug Life. My mediafire is still up and works, but if it shits the bed I'll switch over to other similar hosting sites. If/when all those go I'll just switch everything over to torrents. I don't want to stop doing this.

Tristan Tzara

Tristan Tzara was a German hardcore/screamo band made up of members of Louise Cyphre and Kobra Khan that broke up in 2002. They only put out two albums, according to their myspace. Anyways, their sound is exactly what you would expect from members of such monumental hardcore acts, replacing Louise's jazzy riffs with a female vocalist. Their name comes from one of the founders of the Dada movement, Samuel Rosenstock. You can buy some music and shirts from Monotonstudio Records. Below is their two studio LPs. That third that was up here for a little while was the 7" of on of their full lengths. Also, there is going to be a discography cd put out soon, so keep an eye out for that. No video, sorry dogs.

Louise Cyphre

Louise Cyphre is the shit. They, along with bands like June Paik and Trainwreck, are Cry Me A River regulars hailing from Germany. Their sound is generally trashy punk with a blend of '90's hardcore/screamo, although they commonly have chilled out melodic breaks. I have no fucking idea how many releases they have, but below is their 35 song discography that runs just over 45 minutes. In case you really care they did splits with La Quiete, The Apoplexy Twist Orchestra, Shikari, and were on the Emo Apocalypse and Armageddon. Seeing as I have no idea how many releases this band has, I have no idea if the discography I have had for some time is complete. I do know that their song from the Emo Apocalypse is missing, so I put that below as well. Heres a video from their set at the 2006 Cry Me A River Fest.

La Quiete

La Quiete is an incredible screamo band from Italy. They share a drummer with Raein and are currently touring in Australia. I can't think of anything to write about this band that will do them any justice, but if you have never heard of LAQ you really need to get on that. It has taken me a very long time to collect these albums, and i still do not have all of their material. A good portion of their stuff is splits/compilations, but they do have some full lengths and eps. I do not have the following:
1. Verso La Fine. Benefit Compilation Against Morini Breeding.
2. Memento Mori
